Kartikeya Mishra (“Developer”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) built the NeuroCalm-AI app as a Free/Freemium app. This service is provided by Kartikeya Mishra at no cost and is intended for use as is.

This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.

If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

  1. Camera and Facial Detection Data (Google ML Kit) NeuroCalm-AI utilizes your device’s camera and Google ML Kit Face Detection to analyze facial expressions for wellness and stress-tracking purposes.

Data Processing: The facial recognition and expression analysis are processed locally on your device.

Data Storage and Sharing: We do not transmit, store, or share your raw camera feed, images, or facial map data to our remote servers or any third parties. The camera data exists only in real-time memory to provide the app’s core functionality and is immediately discarded.

  1. Account Registration and Authentication To provide cloud synchronization and personalized experiences, our app uses Firebase Authentication. We may collect your email address, name, and profile picture (if logging in via a third-party provider like Google) solely for the purpose of creating and securing your account.

  2. Data Retention and Account Deletion We retain your account data (such as your journal entries, progress, and settings stored in Cloud Firestore) only for as long as your account is active.

Your Right to Delete Data: You have the right to request the deletion of your account and all associated personal data. You can delete your account directly within the NeuroCalm-AI app by navigating to Settings > Account > Delete Account. Alternatively, you can request account and data deletion by contacting us directly at the email provided below.

  1. Local Storage NeuroCalm-AI uses local device storage (via SQLite/Sqflite) to cache data and allow the app to function offline. This data remains on your physical device.

  2. Log Data We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in a case of an error in the app, we collect data and information (through third-party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.

  3. Security We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

  4. Changes to This Privacy Policy We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
